- Machine status is inferred: 'producing'/'throttled' from measured productivity, 'blocked_downstream'/'starved_upstream' from inventory, and 'idle' when the cause is undetermined. The save has no power-outage flag, so an idle machine is never asserted to be unpowered; a power-corroborated status is not yet implemented
- Production lines cover belt/pipe-connected machines only; machines with no connection are reported via unconnectedMachines. Train/drone/truck routing between terminals is not reconstructed — stations, ports, sinks, and storage appear as line boundaries by building type, not by player-given station name
- Geography bases are proximity clusters of machines, not belt-connectivity groups (see production_lines for connected groups)
- Resource node types and purities require static map reference data; the geography section infers a node's resource from its extractor's output but cannot report purity
- Modded buildings and machines added after game 1.2 are not extracted
- Blueprint designer contents are not parsed
